Our S3 students experienced hands-on learning at the FoodPro Factory in Union Vale on Tuesday, September 17th.

From Classroom to Factory Floor

The visit provided students with a comprehensive look at food production processes, connecting their classroom learning with real-world industry operations.

During the tour, students observed:

  • Production processes – How raw materials are processed into finished products
  • Meat processing operations – The various stages of meat preparation and handling
  • Packaging procedures – How products are packaged for distribution
  • Transportation logistics – The journey from factory to consumers

Hands-On Learning Experience

Students were particularly engaged seeing the practical application of concepts they’ve studied in their Technical Education and Science classes. The factory tour brought textbook knowledge to life as they watched each stage of the production process.

The highlight for many students was getting to taste some of the factory’s products, giving them a complete experience from production to final product.

Connecting Theory and Practice

This educational visit demonstrated the importance of understanding food production, safety standards, and industry processes. Students gained valuable insights into career opportunities in the food processing industry and the technical skills required in this field.

The visit to FoodPro Factory was an excellent opportunity for our S3 students to see how their academic studies translate into real-world applications and career pathways.

We thank FoodPro Factory for welcoming our students and providing such an informative and engaging learning experience.
