Our S3 students had an enriching educational experience this week with a visit to the National Museum of History on Monday, October 14th.
Accompanied by their History teacher, the group explored various exhibits showcasing Seychelles’ rich cultural heritage and historical development. The students were able to see artifacts and learn about our ancestors’ way of life, gaining valuable insights into what makes our nation’s history unique.
What the Students Discovered
The museum visit provided hands-on learning about:
- Traditional artifacts and historical items
- Stories of how our ancestors lived and worked
- The development of Seychelles from past to present
- The importance of preserving our cultural heritage
The students were particularly engaged with the interactive exhibits and asked many thoughtful questions during their tour.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
This visit was part of our S3 History curriculum, helping students connect their classroom learning with real historical artifacts and stories. The experience gave them a deeper appreciation for Seychelles’ unique place in history and the importance of preserving our heritage for future generations.
The National Museum of History was an excellent partner in this educational journey, providing expert guidance and engaging presentations that brought our history to life for these young learners.
We’re grateful for this opportunity to connect our students with their cultural roots and look forward to more educational partnerships with local institutions.
